Short-Form Video

Show me your FYP and I tell you who you are.

Short-form video content on TikTok and Reels have taken over. It is â€‹the future but brands and creators are still trying to understand how to cater to these platforms and make it work for their needs.

I can forever talk about this topic. If you want to find out more about my thoughts on TikTok and Co., why I think some things work and others don't, and what I believe this is all leading us to, you should definitely slide into my DMs here.

Fun fact about this TikTok: This video was actually copied by another creator (duh!). However, I gotta say, it worked for them as well. It reached another 200k views which proves that this piece of content was effective, compelling, and relatable.

What have I learned so far from posting on TikTok?

  • This worked for me: short videos with movement; long but relatable text; trending sounds.

  • Cater to a niche but stay relatable. Authenticity is key.

  • TikTok is less about the creator themselves but more about the community. Ask yourself: How can your content can be useful for your followers and other TikTok users?
